As a Saint Charles wedding photographer, this was the kind of wedding you dream of capturing. Every moment, detail, and space came together in a way that felt both elevated and deeply authentic to who they are. Jess and Sam’s wedding at Hotel Baker was the perfect blend of old-school luxury and modern elegance—a day that felt timeless, intentional, and effortlessly stylish from beginning to end.
One of the most incredible parts of the day was that we never had to leave Hotel Baker.
From the iconic historic suites to the classic bar, elegant ballroom, and private riverside garden along the Fox River, every part of the day unfolded seamlessly in one location. This allowed for a relaxed flow, natural storytelling, and a gallery that feels cohesive and luxurious.

Before the wedding, we captured Jess and Sam’s engagement session at The Morton Arboretum.
The soft light, natural landscapes, and open space perfectly reflected their connection and gave us time to build a rhythm together before the wedding day—something that always translates into more natural, meaningful imagery.
Sam arrived in a perfectly tailored blue tuxedo, carrying a level of confidence and style that rivaled Matthew McConaughey.
Jess wore a stunning, intricately detailed gown paired with a romantic bouquet of anemones, garden roses, wax flowers, lisianthus, and dusty miller. Every detail felt intentional, elegant, and perfectly aligned with their vision of a modern classic wedding.

Their ceremony took place just outside along the Fox River in St. Charles, creating an intimate and peaceful setting surrounded by nature.
It was emotional, personal, and beautifully understated—the kind of ceremony where everything feels genuine and nothing feels forced.

The celebration continued inside Hotel Baker’s iconic Rainbow Room, one of the only venues in Illinois featuring a true illuminated dance floor.
As the night unfolded, the energy shifted into something unforgettable—packed dance floor, constant laughter, and a group that fully embraced the moment. Their bridal party brought incredible energy from start to finish, making the entire day feel effortless and alive.

Jess and Sam’s wedding was a perfect example of how timeless elegance and modern storytelling can come together in a way that feels effortless and real.
From the architecture of Hotel Baker to the people who filled it, this day wasn’t just about beautiful images—it was about preserving a feeling.
